What is a Thermocouple?
A Thermocouple is a sensor that measures temperature. It consists of two different types of metals, joined together at one end. When the junction of the two metals is heated or cooled, a voltage is created that can be correlated back to the temperature.
Thermocouples are available in different models for different industries like plastic, pharmaceutical, food, marine, semi-conductors, aerospace, furnace and other applications. The most common calibrations are K, J, T and E. Type R & S are common for high temperature calibrations usage. This thermocouple can be constructed for hazardous locations and other application that requires varies of connection heads, protection tubes, thermo-wells and/or transmitters.
The base metal thermocouple elements are replacement elements compatible for use in thermocouple assemblies. These thermocouples are available as bare wire or ceramic insulated elements, and with special construction designs available.
The flexible thermocouples are constructed using thermocouple wires for fast responses. The thermocouple can be constructed in different insulated material on in different length. Weld Tip Thermocouple is available with or without miniature connectors.
